Xbox1 hard drive is replaceable

The Xbox One's 500GB HDD is a standard SATA II drive and can be replaced by opening the system with a few tools, according to a new teardown analysis from iFixit (via Engadget). Doing so, however, will void your warranty, so be warned.
In addition, it is unclear if the Xbox One will recognize unformatted SATA hard drives. Specifically, the hard drive is a Samsung Spinpoint M8 ST500LM012 with 8MB cache, which sells for around $55. The Xbox One will not support external storage at launch, though this functionality is planned for the future.
The PlayStation 4, on the other hand, freely allows users to replace the system's on-board 500GB hard drive, so long as certain requirements are met.
The Xbox One has released before 2 days, November 22, for $500.
